Accor-Pannonia takes over two Taverna hotels

From 1 February 2007, Accor-Pannonia will be operator of Hotel Liget and Hotel Taverna, former members of the Taverna chain. Accor-Pannonia hires the two hotels from the new owner, DARE investment company.

The 4-star, 227-room Hotel Taverna, located in the middle of Váci Street (downtown Budapest) will be renamed the Mercure Budapest City Center. Soft refurbishment of the hotel is expected to get underway soon.

The 139-room Hotel Liget, located next to Budapest's City Park, will (following its complete renovation) be rebranded Ibis Budapest Heroes' Square. Work on the former Liget is set to complete by July.
