LOCATION Tihany is among the oldest known settlement at the Lake Balaton, its Abbey was built almost 1000 years ago. The village of fishermen and peasants has survived the centuries, and it is currently one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hungary. The village is situated on a small peninsula that penetrates the lake from the north. The peninsula was likely created by volcanic activities, and most of its territory belongs to protected environmental areas, national parks. On the peninsula there are two smaller lakes on the hills. They are not connected with the Lake Balaton. These lakes are primarily reserved for the wildlife, although the larger one offers good opportunities also for the sport fishermen. The csárda is located on the south of the village.

DESCRIPTION The family business - which deals with the production of wine and hospitality - awaits its guests for 29 years. Their target is to preserve traditions and to cultivate the wine culture of Lake Balaton. The restaurant – which is Hungary's first carbon-neutral restaurant - offers a range of essential Balaton fish supply: fish soup and other hungarian specialities made of gray cattle and mangalica.
