You are invited to the sensational touristic attraction, the former top secret Military Hospital and Atomic Bunker beneath the Buda Castle. This is a piece of living history. It is very rare that a complete military hospital and bunker opens its gates to the public. The speciality of this installation is that it is not merely a museum or a bunker planned for use in case of a conflict. It was the witness of the world war as well as the 1956 Hungarian Revolution as an operational hospital.

The tour includes parts that were built and extensively used during the Second World War and the siege of Budapest. Thousands of people, soldiers and civilians alike were treated here. This was the last hospital in operation during the siege in Buda between December 1944 and February 1945, and that was the second longest city siege in that war. During the cold war the hospital was extended and upgraded to atomic bunker and was classified as "Top Secret" under the codename 0101/1.

The hospital is furbished including historical furniture and equipment. Moreover wax figures with original clothing and postures create a living - and thrilling - atmosphere making the entire exhibition to be felt like living history. It contains the largest number of wax figures fielded in Central Europe. The concept is to provide an intense visual experience that really moves the visitors thus providing a truly remarkable experience. Civil defence exhibition is also arranged in the facility that includes tools and materials to protect from chemical or thermonuclear attack.

Special incentive programs are available as well, like Cold war wargames to experience the official protocol of the hospital in case of usage of weapons of mass destruction and quest games to find items and persons in the facility and solve problems in groups.
